Anchors Hotshot Job Description
Anchors Oilfield Services provides oilfield services for many companies around the region.
Anchors provides One Ton trucks, with many gooseneck trailers for oilfield needs.
Anchors hauls rods, couplers, valves, MLE, wheel cranks, ESP trailers, rod strings, polished rods, pallets with tools, tubing, and more.
As an employee, you will begin your day with a dispatched load in the morning. Throughout the day you will be dispatched to various locations throughout the region. Often times dropping a trailer and picking it up at a later time/date.
Do I need A Class A CDL To Drive Hotshot?
Yes, a Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is required for hot shot driving with our company. This ensures that drivers are fully certified to handle the loads and equipment safely and in compliance with regulations.
We require a “Class A CDL” because any time the Gross Vehicle Weight Rating exceeds 10,001 lbs or your Gross Combined Weight Rating exceeds 26,001 lbs AND your services are for profit, a CDL is required. Everything ‘we’ do is for profit, and exceeds those weights.
What Kind Of Equipment Do You Run?
For hot shot work, we use a 1-ton truck outfitted with either a flatbed or a bobtail, often paired with a gooseneck trailer ranging from 30 to 40 feet, depending on load requirements. Our equipment includes securement tools like tie-downs, tarps, and straps to ensure safe and reliable transport of goods
Do You Provide Housing For Employees?
At this time, we do not provide housing for employees. We recommend exploring local housing options, and our team is happy to offer guidance on nearby accommodations if needed.
Can I Take My Work Truck Home?
No, company policy requires that all work trucks be returned to the Anchors yard at the end of each shift. This ensures that our vehicles are secure, well-maintained, and ready for the next team member to use.”
What Is The Rate Of Pay
We start our employees out at $27/hr to $30/hr, with overtime. There is potential for a raise based upon performance. There is also a 90 day probation period.
What Is The Schedule Like?
Our employees work 5 days on and have 1 day off. We do not do rotation schedules, however we can be flexible with time off that is needed.
What Type Of Benefits Do You Offer?
We offer a really good insurance plan, we do cover 50% of cost for our drivers. After one year we give our employees 40 hours PTO. Upon hire employees are given 16 hours of sick leave. At this time we do not offer a 401k plan.
How Many Years Experience Do I Need?
We require at least 2 years CDL experience.
Do You Drug Test?
Yes, we require a drug test upon hire, along with Random drug tests throughout employment.
What Is The Process Of Getting Hired
Once an application is filled out, our team will do background checks, and check references, along with past jobs. Please allow at least a week or two for processing.
Once the applications processed, you could be contacted for an interview, followed by a drug test at our Williston CUPS location.
Our Safety director will then asses a road test consisting on hooking up a gooseneck, unhooking, driving with a gooseneck along with parking.
If hired, you will then come in the office and take several required online safety tests.
You will be paired with our Safety Director for a week or two of training, until you’re comfortable with being on your own.
You will then be assigned a truck, and dispatched to locations.
Do You Provide Training?
We provide one to two weeks of hands on training with our company’s Safety Director, learning procedures and locations.
